I'm starting to think I am.
It's just so much easier to start and not finish things.
The problem is not about doing the work; it's having the patience to see it completion.
Am I patient enough to wait another 6-9 months if there's an opportunity to leave earlier?
The acheivements that I will obtain, is it anything different than I've already done in the past?
Time to revamp that CV some more...

Has it been THAT long?
I guess it has!
Seeds that were planted last year has started to bloom.
Some REAL changes are coming and I have full control to drive it the way I want....or at least get things setup so it can be executed by other ppl.
Meaning...let's hope I find another home to move to, perhaps one that will allow me to move back into the city. Oh, how I miss the city.
And a home that will give me the opps for development of course...always looking for that growth!

Whiner whiner, Pants on Fire
Hate it when ppl complain and whine when they have the power and ability to drive change.
All whine and no action.

4 Months In
It's almost been 4 months since I started my new job. I'm getting a hang of it though there is still a lot more to learn. I can confidently say though that I would likely be moving on to something else after 2 years. Not to say that I would've learned it all, but at least I would've learned enough that I would like to be in other parts of the business.
There isn't a whole lot else going on ...did I mention the weather sucks this summer?

Once again unemployed
1 week of unemployment, then I'm off to another new adventure!
I must say, it felt really good leaving it all behind. Especially to something that I'm confident is MUCH better. It's also interesting to see how most ppl from my ex-workplace just glaces over when I tell them what my new job is. Since most of these ppl have never done anything but Marketing,..anything remotely geekier just goes over their heads.
This weekend will be a home finding weekend for me. Have a lot of viewings for purchase and a few more for rental. This is the weekend, something will have to work out.
Taxes and packing next week....what a great way to spend my week off between job. *sigh*

Not just wishful thinking anymore!
Let's see, where did I leave off on my last post....yes, I was quite miserable given my work situation. But fear not! RIM to the rescue!
I was actively seeking for employment with them and one day, I got an email of a job match. Not only was this a job match, it's THE job match. I will fully be able to use my skills and previous work experience for this job! It all happened like a whirlwind, first it was an email, then a phone call, then 3 in-person interviews and a week later, *POOF*, I got a new job.
New job starts March 16th, last day at old job is March 6th, so I get a little break to get myself together. Reminder: RIM in Waterloo, not Toronto. So I need to move.
As my good friend SK says, this may just be the 1 stone that would kill 3 birds, shitty job, living at home and ahem...the relationship situation.
Wish me luck!...for what you say?! Finding a place to live in the next couple of weeks!

New Year, New Beginnings? Or just wishful thinking?
Hi all! Happy New Year!
I haven't posted in AGES. Perhaps because I've been busy bitching about 2008! Like my friend Edo, who's done a quick an dirty update on his page, I shall follow suit...that way, y'all be up to date on what's been going on.
Career Updates
I continued on with my MBA degree and officially finished my classes by end of May 2008. The exchange was not what I expected but I got the credits needed to complete my program (that's the important part). Came back to Canada early June and started my job search. The first month was spent doing networking with the next month on some interveiws and mostly job apps. I officially started work in August with a Canadian Telco firm as a Marketing Program Manager. The job description is a lot more glamourous than the actual work. The work environment was also overrated (or perhaps I should say my group does not culturally match the rest of the company). Either way, I soon realized I need to make changes. However, with the "economic crisis" upon us and the fact I only started this job, it was a little difficult to find somthing new.
Home Front
I have sinced moved out of Kingston and back to my mom's home in Toronto. Since the job is still in the "uncertain" category, I am holding off on buying another place. So storage locker it is.
Personal Life
I've made some new friends from my exchange program and re-acquainted with some old ones. I can officially use "It's Complicated" to describe my relationship status.
Travels
Kingston for the first quarter of the year, then I spent 2 months in Nagoya, Japan for my exchange. Within those 2 months, I went to Miyajima, Kyoto and Nara. Then I dropped by Hong Kong for a week's visit before heading back to Toronto early June. The last week of December, I flew down to St. Maarten/Anguilla/St. Kitts for a week's holiday. The whole point was to visit my good teammate from my MBA class. I had a great time and will hopefully return to Anguilla to visit him and his family this year.
What's new for 2009???
Well, I hope to do the following:
- Finalize my relationship status (wishful thinking?)
- Find a new job, career path
- Move out of my mother's
- Win the 15M lottery this Friday??? LOL....I SO wish.
Hopefully, I have more exciting news to come soon such that I can provide more updates. I know, I've been lazy for the past few months...just that I haven't been at the best place and honestly don't feel like whining to the whole world! Happy thoughts only for 2009!
I wish everyone a healthy and prosperous new year! Talk soon.
